Crunchy Almond Chicken Tenders with Honey Dijon

Crunchy Almond Chicken Tenders with Honey Dijon....the name itself sounds delicious. And if you can believe it, these are even better than they sound! They are AMAZING. And they are super easy. The perfect combination if you ask me. I found this recipe while searching for chicken recipes on the Tasty Kitchen website. Here are the easy step by step directions. The full recipe can be found at the bottom! Enjoy!

Here are the ingredients you will need.

Okay so first you mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped roasted almonds. I couldn't find roasted almonds so I just used slivered almonds and chopped them. It was still good. Roasted almonds would probably be great too. Just stir these 3 ingredients together. And put them aside.

Then you mix the Dijon mustard with the honey. I don't like a strong Dijon mustard taste and so I used Honey Dijon mustard and still mixed in a little honey. Also, I think it is easier to dip the chicken in the honey mustard mix if you are using a plate, but its up to you!

Cut up the chicken breasts into strips or just smaller pieces. I like chicken in smaller pieces because then I feel like I can go back for seconds, or thirds....And believe me, with this recipe you will want to!

Dip (or smother) the chicken with the Honey Dijon mixture. I like it better when I smother the chicken with it. It makes it very very good! Sometimes I have to use more honey and Dijon then the original recipe calls for, but it all depends on how much of a Honey Dijon flavor you want.

Then dip the chicken in the bread crumb, almond, and Parmesan mixture. This recipe makes plenty of this mixture so don't be afraid to get plenty of it on the chicken breasts. It makes it taste better!

Place the chicken tenders on an already hot pan that is lightly coated with olive oil. (For the record, I used more than 3 chicken breasts, which is why my pan looks very full).

Drizzle some olive oil over the pan of chicken right before you stick it in the oven for 20 minutes.

When the chicken tenders are half done (ten minutes) flip them over. Then put them back in for the remaining time (about ten minutes).

And here's the finished product! They are best if you serve them right after they come out of the oven. Eat and enjoy!

*1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese
*1/4 cup of Dijon Mustard

When they are ready for the oven, grab the now hot pan and drizzle it with olive oil. Then put the chicken on it and drizzle the chicken with a little olive oil.
